One of the single best ways to bring the curb appeal to your home is through the use of flowering plants and flowers. There is something so inviting about beautiful blossoms. As an added benefit you can also attract butterflies and birds to your yard as well.

As anyone who has spent a summer in North Atlanta climate, can tell you that it’s hot. Sometimes extremely hot! Luckily, there are a few plants that thrive in the intense heat. You will still need to care for them and provide water but the list below is particularly heat resistant. So get going and turn on the curb appeal!

Black Eyed Susan – Classic orange and black. They are hearty, early bloomers that will bloom again if you cut them. Trying to shoo the deer away? Plant these! Deer won’t come near.

Mealy cup Sage – Deep violets that grow in tall stalks. No stranger to high heat as they are native to Mexico and Texas.

Thread leaf Coreopsis – A member of the sunflower family and extremely easy to grow. Vibrant yellow with seeds that attract birds.
